The Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE), located in Pune, is a premier laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It is the primary R&D wing under the Ministry of Defence dedicated to designing and developing conventional armaments, small arms, and artillery for the Indian Armed Forces.
